Funny or Not Funny? Mitch McConnel Edition

I’m just sitting, being peaceful, thinking and toying around with the idea for an occasional, new blog theme called “Funny or Not Funny?”. This will be the first addition to the occasional theme, because SDMcKinley.com is primarily an art blog and also a place to share about my writing efforts.

Without further ado, presented is my second original meme of all time ( please excuse the messy graphics. I’m in quite a hurry and don’t have much time ):

I’ll let you decide whether it’s funny or not funny. Maybe, I’ll get a couple of non-quibble shillings for this one. 🤣

Guys and gals, until next time – may you find all the happiness that your life can fit in it’s happy spot – S.D. McKinley.

RWP: The Historic Wyndham Prison Tree in Australia

By Djambalawa – Own work, CC BY-SA 3.0

Today comes another random Wikipedia article ( RWP ) ( yes, I am that geek that reads the encyclopedia for fun ) about a prison tree. That’s right. You read it correctly. The prison tree is a hollow Australian baobab tree used to keep prisoners inside of it during the 1890’s located south of Wyndham, Western Australia. Whatever works, right? I’m certain it isn’t quite like as comfy as a Wyndham by Wingate.

My mind is blown again.

It was also known as the “Hillgrove Police Station” as marked on the tree along with about three hundred other travelers that marked their name on it ( see image below ). There is another tree ( 1500 years old!! ) near Derby, Western Australia possibly used for the same thing.

RWP: World of Warcraft Pandemic

/ Image source: Wallpaper Cave /

Today comes another random Wikipedia article ( RWP ) about a World of Warcraft pandemic called Corrupted Blood incident. I will take this article, dive in and possibly make some jokes. Lets have some fun researching a couple of things.

Wow (no pun intended)! This really blows my mind.. So according to this Wikipedia article, there was an accidental in-game pandemic around 2005 that stemmed from a boss fight. The infection was ‘highly contagious’ and spread throughout the whole in-game world. Cities were abandoned and in-game players isolated. If you were a low level character you died very fast, while higher level players were able to keep themselves alive. The contagion also spread through asymptomatic NPCs as well.

RWP: Space Harmony

Today comes another random Wikipedia article ( RWP ) about Space Harmony where I will take this article, dive in and possibly make some jokes. Lets have some fun researching a couple of things.

Original Image via Wikipedia / – WOAH MR LABAN – WHAT ARE THOSE HYROGLYPHICS ON THE WALL?! WHAT IS THAT IN YOUR HAND MR LABAN?

Let’s check out the first paragraph:

Rudolf Laban created a movement theory and practice that reflected what he recognized as Space Harmony. The practice/theory is based on universal patterns of nature and of man as part of a universal design/order and was named by Laban: Space Harmony or Choreutics.

RWP: Laura Musser McColm Historic District

I’m starting a thing today. What is it you say? I’m going to pick out a random Wikipedia (hence RWP) article and dive in, possibly make some jokes and have some fun researching a couple of things.

Today brings us a lovely Wikipedia article about Laura Musser McColm Historic District. The first half of the first sentence of the article really grabs me:

“The Laura Musser McColm Historic District, also known as the Muscatine Art Center“..

/ “Laura Musser McColm Historic District,” Wikipedia /
/ Original Image via Wikipedia / – THIS IS THE WHOLE DISTRICT a.k.a Muscatine Art Center.

Wait…so all of a sudden the whole district is also the Muscatine Art Center? Mind blown!
