A man determined to stay alive alone on a deserted island no matter what the cost and A teen whose road trip includes a visit to the gravest show on earth.IMDB
In a two part special Shudder presents the Creepshow Animated Special directed by Greg Nicotero ( known for The Walking Dead ).
I liked the first story more than the second, which explores what very well may happen if we are alone on a deserted island and left to our own devices which includes 2 kilograms of heroine and a broke leg. It is very much disturbing and Stephen King even makes a cameo appearance in animated form. The animation is very 2020 and presented in a 3D-ish comic book style. I thought it was great.
The second story is narrated completely by a present day twitter addicted teenager on vacation with her dreaded family, and they end up at the greatest show on earth, which is. . .a creepshow. I thought it was good, but the ‘like’ ‘omg’ got on my nerves. I thought it was amazing when they stuck the torch down the zombies throat. But, this story is more geared toward modernism than the first, so that aspect kind of evened out the balance for me.
If you don’t mind down right defiling and demoralizing the first show is it, but if you just like some chaotic messing around and animated violence, skip to the second feature. If you are looking for cute, scary then go somewhere else for your viewing pleasure. First story earned ★★★★★ five stars out of five, second story got ★★★★☆ four stars out of five.
