WandaVision – The Vision 50s Style TV Show

Yesterday, I posted a bunch of compositions. They are nothing very serious, but it is where I started my writing journey and these are from a notebook binder full of ramblings. I found these well enough to share. So, if you are following by email, thank you for letting me spam your mailbox with all those yesterday. 😀

Yesterday, I also learned, through a mailed copy of Entertainment Weekly, that there will be a new show titled WandaVision coming out this winter ( currently scheduled for January 15th, 2021 ). I’m kind of excited about it really since it will be a throwback of sorts, gaining inspiration from classics such as I Dream of Jeannie and The Dick Van Dyke Show.

It’s a sitcom based type show of Vision’s family in the 1950’s and will air on Disney+. We were just deciding whether to wait until all of this season’s Mandalorian is out before turning the Disney+ back on, or go ahead and start watching.

Pretty sure I know where the focused inspiration really came from:

The Vision, comic book series 2015-2016

There’s twelve comics in this series, and I do own all of them. From what I remember, I really liked it. So, if the show is trying to stem off of the success of this comic series, and they succeed at capturing that essence, it should do quite well:

I’m not a good source of knowledge about The Avengers, but I picked The Vision a while back as my favorite one. What about you? Does a Vision sitcom based comic book show tickle your fancy that takes inspiration from other classic TV shows? Maybe, just MAYBE, Marvel is on some kind of roll here.

And, since Disney owns Marvel, there’s a bunch of other MCU stuff coming out, namely a Moon Knight show.

January 15th it is. This information will be updated in the post. Thanks for chiming in, there, Lashaan. Yes, as far as the MCU, let’s hope they can keep their focus!

I don’t watch a lot of shows but I love the Marvel movies! This does sound like it’s going to be interesting, especially if, as you said, they’re basing it on the comics.
